Cinema Advertising Company - NBS Studio.
Cinema Advertising costs can be dramatically reduced by coming to NBS Studio with your cinema commercial project.
NBS Studio can now film your cinema advertisement using the latest RED One 4K digital cinema camera, which is used to film high-end feature films such as the 2009 release of "Knowing" starring Nicolas Cage.
NBS Studio is looking in to providing low-cost cinema grade filming at resolutions up to 3K for 2011. Prices will start from as little as £350.00/day to shoot at 3K, bringing ultra-high definition at low prices for cinema advertising.
Cinema advertising may be something that you wouldn't normally think of using as an advertising medium. Advertising in a cinema can be targeted to a specific audience who are already seated in front of the screen waiting for the main feature to begin, so are readily attentive to what is being displayed before them. Using Television advertising on the other hand audiences are less attentive and may decide to channel hop skipping past the TV advertising commercials.
TV commercials in decline while Cinema Advertising is on the increase
TV commercial advertising is in decline as advertisers are looking for more cost effective methods of delivering their advertising message to the general public. Cinema viewing on the other-hand is growing and therefore may provide a better and more cost effective method to broadcast your advertising requirements. Speak to NBS Studio to find out how easy and affordable cinema advertising is.
4K Cinema Quality Filming
NBS Studio is fully capable of editing up to 4K Film quality for cinema advertising. Normally cinema commercials are delivered either as high definition (HD) or 2K. Some production companies still shoot low budget cinema advertisements in Standard Definition (SD) then scale-up to HD or 2K. This causes a blurring of the image and reduces the viewers pleasure of the commercial. Advertising in 4K, 3K or 2K film quality will ensure the best clarity is displayed on the cinema screen.
NBS Studio currently shoots HD for cinema advertising, but we can provide 4K filming at a reasonable cost. In 2010 (dates to be confirmed) I am introducing my "beyond HD" quality filming for ALL cinema advertising commercials as well as ALL standard corporate video productions. The images are crisp, clean and the colour tone and balance between light and dark areas is superb! Just like film, and far superior to HDV, XDCAM and dare I say HDCAM.
The Technology of Cinema Production
The new video format that NBS Studio uses for cinema advertising is RAW. RAW images have been around for a long time now in the professional stills photography industry but have never been seen in video production until now. When you use RAW footage you are using the raw data which is captured by the cameras censor, with no processing of the image. This is different and better than uncompressed. Image colour, white balance, video levels, etc... can be adjusted after the footage has been taken in post-production giving you full control over the image quality without effecting the originally shot RAW footage.
3d filming is now the big thing in cinema, but this is the total story. Current 3d filming requires TWO cameras bolted together to film, but there is something being developed in 3d filming that will even blow the latest developments clean out of the water! 3d filming with the ability to adjust the subject focus of recorded image during post-production. Yes, that's right, during Post-Production and not on location. This new technology will use a new design of "arrayed lens" which focuses each lens on to ONE cameras censor (possibly using a 28K, or greater, censor to produce a 4K final image). Each lens is angled slightly different to the next, giving a different perspective of the image. Each arrayed images are then processed to calculate the image depth giving you the ability to adjust focus in post-production. You can also use this technology to easily create mattes from foreground objects within a moving/tracking video shot without the need of a Green-Screen. Watch this space on 3d arrayed lenses! My idea for a new censor would be to capture image data on a normal sized censor using RGB, but also an black & white Depth map. Using Infra-red, depth information can be captured and stored. Like a 3d laser scanner Infra-red can be used to scan the environment which filming is taking place in and then store the information using the cameras censor.
